3M™ Films & Liners Label Materials encompasses a full selection of facestocks, liners and secondary liners for custom assembly that meets specific labelling requirements. Topcoated film facestocks include polyester, acetate, polyolefin and semi-rigid vinyl, and some are available with pre-applied 3M adhesive. Kraft and film liners are available with or without release coating on one or two sides.

3M™ Polyester Label Material 7871EC is a 50 μm, gloss white polyester labelstock designed for thermal transfer printing. This product utilizes 3M™ Adhesive 350E, designed to provide good adhesion to most high and low surface energy plastics, metals, painted metals and powder coatings. Its facestock is topcoated for thermal transfer printing. Resin ribbons are recommended for optimum durability. The topcoat also provides improved ink anchorage for traditional forms of press printing. The Polyester facestock provides durability in harsh environments. The 350E is 3M’s most universal labelstock adhesive and offers excellent adhesion, even on low surface energy substrates, combined with excellent temperature and chemical resistance. The 43 micron adhesive coat weight gives excellent adhesion to textured surfaces. The Densified double-sided glassine liner allows for consistent die cutting and improves the ease of dispensing. It is UL and cUL recognized (File Number MH18072).
